Escolha da Prótese
Existem quatro tipos básicos de próteses em relação à fixação das mesmas, conforme já visto anteriormente: próteses cimentadas, não-cimentadas, híbridas e híbridas reversas. A escolha da técnica é determinada pela idade do paciente, qualidade do osso, nível de atividade, patologia de base e condições ósseas locais.
As superfícies de contato podem ser de metal-polietileno, metal-metal, cerâmica-polietileno ou cerâmica-cerâmica Fig.13.

A artroscopia de quadril é um procedimento cirúrgico minimamente invasivo realizado através de pequenas incisões, utilizando-se um aparelho chamado artroscópio para visualizar o interior de uma articulação.
Prótese de quadril
O sucesso de uma artroplastia total de quadril depende de 3 fatores críticos: escolha do paciente, escolha do implante e a técnica cirúrgica.
